n August 2016, Habitat for Humanity Red Deer, along with our friends and sponsors, gathered in Sheep Close, Lacombe, to officially turn the sod on our new build project. This marked the beginning of a beautiful plan in which 4 homes would be built for selected low-income working families in the city of Lacombe.
Eleven months later, we are happy to announce the 4 selected families have completed their sweat equity and will be taking possession on July 14th. We are grateful to our partners and sponsors who have made these homes possible, and to the valued volunteers who are the driving force behind Habitat, with over 3600 volunteer hours contributed to build these homes!
We invite you to celebrate with us and our new partner families at our Key Ceremony event and lunch; details are as follows:
Friday, July 14th
Located at 29 Sheep Close in Shepherd Heights, Lacombe
Lunch will begin at 12:00 along with an open house to view all 4 homes, with the ceremony and key presentation to follow.
We sincerely thank you for your contribution to this project and to ensure we are prepared to receive you, we ask that you RSVP to Janelle Duffin at firstname.lastname@example.org or 403-309-6080 extension 2, by Wednesday, July 12th.
