The Dodd Family
Tracey and her daughters are excited to have a place to call their own as they have moved into their new home in Sylvan Lake!
Tracey worked hard on her volunteer hours once she was selected to purchase a home, and is a great example of the dedication the Habitat program requires to complete 500 volunteer hours while working a full-time job and raising children.
Tracey's thoughts last year upon being selected:
"Hi, I am Tracey Dodd, I grew up on the family farm which is where my 2 girls and I are currently living. After leaving my ex of 14 years, my parents took us in. I only took the basics and left everything else--so we are totally starting over from scratch!
I heard about Habitat for Humanity from one of my friends, who was applying too. I thought, why not give it a try--the worst they can do is say no (not thinking that I would actually get accepted). I've never had anything that was just mine, I'm really excited to go through this experience and to show my girls that anything is possible, plus they are pretty excited to finally have their own rooms!"
