Habitat for Humanity Red Deer Set to Receive $10,000 Donation from Traine Construction and Highstreet Developments

Traine Construction and Highstreet Developments to present Habitat for Humanity with donation at Vanier Woods Complex Grand Opening Event 39 Van Slyke Way, Red Deer AB

RED DEER, AB – On Tuesday August 9th, Traine Construction along with their partner Highstreet Developments will be holding a grand opening celebrating at their newly completed apartment complex community on Van Slyke Way, in the Vanier Woods neighbourhood of Red Deer.

As part of the Grand Opening festivities a $10,000 donation will be presented to Habitat for Humanity Red Deer to assist them in adding to the community with affordable home ownership projects. “Habitat for Humanity Red Deer Society is incredibly grateful to be selected as recipients of this donation.” Said James Wright, Habitat for Humanity Red Deer Chairperson. “These types of donations are critical for us in being able to build decent housing for local, low income, working families. Without the support of the community and partner donors like Traine Construction and Highstreet Developments we would not be able to make that difference in their lives!”

Located at 39 Van Slyke way, the new rental apartment community will add 232 homes to an already growing community. The festivities will begin at 4:00pm and run until about 7:00pm. With activities for children, prize draws, as well as a meet and greet with community members and home residents. “Providing decent affordable places to live is what we do. It only makes sense to support organizations that provide opportunities to hard working families to own decent affordable homes. Habitat does great work and is responsible for contributing a great deal to the strength of Red Deer communities. ” said Matt Butler, President of Traine Construction

Habitat for Humanity Red Deer’s next project will begin later this summer once again in Lacombe Alberta, in the Shepherd Heights subdivision. Where four new families will be chosen to partner with on a path to a brighter future.
