Meaning of Home national writing contest opens January 7th 2019!

The Meaning of Home national writing contest opens for kids in grades 4, 5, and 6 on January 7th 2019! By submitting a poem or an essay about "what does home mean to you?", each entry results in a $10 donation to your local Habitat through our corporate sponsor Genworth Canada.

Your child's or students' work can directly support affordable homeownership for local families in Central Alberta. A little creativity is all you need. Enter online starting January 7th 2019 at meaningofhome.ca

We recognize that the land on which we work, gather, and live is within the territory of the Blackfoot, Tsuu T’ina, and Stoney Nakoda peoples and that the Central Alberta region we serve falls under Treaty 6, traditional Métis, Cree, and Saulteaux territory. We acknowledge and honour the First Peoples who have lived here since time immemorial. We stand with the Indigenous peoples of Alberta and continue to advocate for reconciliation.
